Enanthate Profile

(Ester)

The most common form of Enanthate is by-in-large Testosterone-Enanthate, however, there are actually quite a few Enanthate based anabolic steroids. Enanthate itself is actually not a steroid but an ester attached to a steroid and the Enanthate ester can be attached to almost any steroid we desire to use. While it can be effectively attached to most steroids the most commonly found Enanthate based steroids beyond Testosterone-Enanthate include; Trenbolone-Enanthate, Masteron (Drostanolone-Enanthate) Primobolan Depot (Methenolone-Enanthate) and occasionally certain Nandrolone steroids, although not as common.

Enanthate based steroids are some of the most popular forms, each of the above listed is used regularly by many anabolic steroid users, however, each steroid listed above that carries the Enanthate ester can be found with other esters attached as well. For example, although Testosterone-Enanthate is one of the most popular forms of testosterone, other forms with completely different esters are of equal popularity. Testosterones such as Testosterone-Cypionate and Testosterone-Propionate, each with its own unique ester are all commonly used. At the same time, certain steroids such as Enanthate based Masteron will prove to be not nearly as common as other forms of Masteron, such as Masteron with the Propionate ester attached or Trenbolone in the form of Trenbolone-Acetate.

To understand Enanthate we simply need to understand what an ester is and this understanding can be applied to all ester forms from Enanthate, to Propionate, to Decanoate and so on. The ester is not the steroid itself but an attachment that determines the steroids active duration or what is commonly known as its half-life. In general terms it will have little effect on the steroid itself; although the mass of a certain ester can affect the steroids active potency on a milligram for milligram basis. For our purposes here when dealing with Enanthate based steroids we can actively apply an approximate ten day half-life and to put this in its most simple terms we will use Testosterone-Enanthate as our example. When we inject 100mg of Testosterone-Enanthate, at the ten day mark after the injection we now have 50mg of active testosterone left in our body. Once another ten days has passed, twenty days after the original injection, we now have 25mg of active testosterone left in our body. Of course in our example we are assuming no more testosterone has been administered. This same example can apply to all Enanthate based steroids, so as you can easily see frequent administration of Enanthate based steroids is not needed but it will still vary as we’ll see.

While Enanthate based steroids carry with them a moderately long half-life, most steroid users will find twice weekly administration of Enanthate based steroids to suit their purposes most efficiently. With a half-life that is moderately long one could easily get by with once per week application but for performance enhancing purposes we will want to maximize the particular steroids use and to do so we will want to keep our blood levels at their peak. Frequent application of a minimum two times per week will prove in most cases for all Enanthate based steroids to be sufficient and well tolerated by most individuals. However, for those who are using Enanthate based steroids for hormone replacement therapy the game changes a little bit. For this purpose we are not concerned with peak blood levels but simply brining hormonal levels back to a normal range. For this individual application will generally be once every 10-14 days and normally the only Enanthate based steroid we will use for this purpose will be that of Testosterone-Enanthate.

Beyond half-life there is one more particular point of interest regarding Enanthate based steroids that revolves around all ester based steroids. The particular ester attached to a steroid will affect the total mass of the compound; generally speaking the larger the ester the more mass it takes up and the more mass it takes up the less potent the steroid will be on a milligram basis. For example, 100mg of Trenbolone-Enanthate will not provide as much active Trenbolone as 100mg of Trenbolone-Acetate; the same can be said of Testosterone-Enanthate versus Testosterone-Propionate. However, most will simply find this only to be an interesting tid-bit of information, as in most cases, while the Enanthate ester takes up more mass than some other esters, the milligram for milligram difference is very minimal and of little concern.
